We believe diversity is vital for success, and we welcome job applications from people with conditions such as dyslexia, ADHD or autism.
As an organisation, we have set up a dedicated group to help us make sure Sightsavers is an employer of choice for people with neurodiverse conditions. The Social Inclusion Group meets regularly to monitor our inclusion work, provide support, promote diversity across the company and identify anything we need to improve. The group also brings in external trainers and organises speaker sessions with visiting experts on inclusion and disability.
We are a Disability Confident employer, which shows we are committed to attracting, recruiting and retaining staff with disabilities and other conditions. We have created a training programme for staff to raise awareness about disability in the workplace, and have developed accessibility guidelines for printed resources, online content and live events.
As part of our commitment to providing equitable access to employment, we encourage staff to ask for any reasonable help or adjustments they may need to carry out their day-to-day tasks.
