Muslim Staff Network (MSN) at CPS
MSN is a support network for CPS employees, which also aims to improve understanding of faith in the workplace and inter-faith shared values. Additionally MSN has an outward-facing role, working to improve confidence with the Muslim communities the CPS serves.
MSN’s work includes:
- Supporting network members through regular and appropriate communication.
- Influencing policymakers to help ensure CPS policies and processes do not have a disproportionate impact on members of the Muslim community.
- Raising understanding and awareness about counter terrorism prosecutions within the Muslim community, and raising awareness amongst Counter Terrorism staff about the impact of these prosecutions upon the Muslim community.
- Increasing awareness about the impact of religiously-based hate crime across religions as well as having a particular focus on Islamophobia.
