What we aim to achieve
Our aim is to create a sense of cultural awareness and sensitivity among colleagues, so that everyone can feel comfortable in bringing their culture to work. We want to help our colleagues of different cultures to not only coexist, but to thrive. This will support efficient collaboration, improve colleague satisfaction and deliver more innovative business solutions.
The Empower Ethnic Minority Leaders List
We were so proud to see Netsai Mangwende, Willis Towers Watson’s GB Head of Finance, on the 2017 EMpower 100 Ethnic Minority Leaders List, presented by the Financial Times.
As an Executive on the Leadership Team for Great Britain, Netsai is responsible for partnering with the Inclusion and Diversity Council at Willis Towers Watson, focusing on representing the BAME communities in the implementation of strategies and initiatives that foster inclusion. She is also sponsor and mentor to emerging leaders and was a Co-Founder of the first African & Caribbean Network at AIG EMEA, which in a short time became one of the leading networks within AIG and within the external Insurance sector, earning a nomination at the 2016 BITC Race Campaign. Externally, Netsai is Treasurer and a founding member of the Nation Ladies, a cross industry network of Black Female leaders. She coaches and advises her peers on how to establish successful black employee networks and is a member of the newly formed Black leadership group (BLG) which has an objective of increasing BAME on Boards (in a similar vein to the 30% club).
