A supportive space for ethnic minority colleagues
We launched the Mosaic Network towards the end of last year with the aim of providing a supportive social space for ethnic minority colleagues, celebrating cultural differences and contributing to a more inclusive Which? culture.
The group offers opportunities for members to connect and is a forum for celebrating different ethnic identities and backgrounds, advocating for network members and offering an informal but safe space to talk about personal experiences and issues connected to cultural identity.
The network has recently appointed a new co-chair, Kundai Musara, corporate PR officer, to work alongside co-chair Natalie Powell, senior internal comms officer. The committee is currently planning the focus for the year ahead and will be updating members soon.
Kundai said: ‘I’m excited to be joining the Mosaic Network and working with the committee and Natalie. We have some exciting ideas for the year ahead.
‘We’re currently arranging a virtual meet and I’m looking forward to getting to know our network members, organising more socials and further growing the network.’
Recently Michelle Rajkumar-Clifford, Director of Recruitment, London, Europe & IMEA at Brunswick Group and Independent Nominations Committee Member for Which?, joined a session with the Which? Mosaic Network.*
Michelle brought to life her inspiring career, sharing some valuable advice and tips including:
The importance of personal brand ‘what do you want people to say about you when you’re not in the room?’
‘As a leader there is nothing easier than advocating for someone who will get the job done’
‘If you’re doing a good job why do you need to tell people, shouldn’t they know?’ - this is simply not true, you need to let the right people know.
*The Which? Mosaic Network provides a forum for celebrating ethnic minorities, promoting equality, diversity and supporting the Which? vision of a more inclusive place to work.
