Celebrate all diversity at MBDA UK.
Contribute to creating an inclusive culture by acting as a consult (and catalyst) for new and existing people policies and procedures.
Raise awareness and support political developments relating to race and ethnicity in the workplace, such as Ethnicity Pay Gap
Build external relationships with other organisations and BAME networks.
Mosaic has been in existence since 2020 and has a membership of 100+ colleagues from all backgrounds. We have initiated and/or been involved in the following successes:
Celebrated Black History Month Oct 2020 by sharing the achievements of one Black and Minority Ethnic technologist each day. This helped to raise awareness of individuals who have contributed to our society but who are infrequently found in our education and history books.
Catalyst for the creation and use of the ED&I Dashboard - which allows more readily available and user friendly access to MBDA UK Diversity Statistics relating to Age, Gender and now BAME data is also included. The data is used by HR and can be shared with the business at People Manager Meetings for analysis, discussion and diversity objective setting.
Mosaic Champions (named representatives across each of the MBDA UK sites).
Catalyst for Occupation Health “COVID Myth Busting” publication and creation of Vaccine Video to help raise awareness of the need to be vaccinated.
Celebrated the International Day for Elimination of Racism with the “Each One Pledge One” campaign with colleagues pledging via video to undertake one action against racism.
Catalyst for the introduction within MBDA UK of Reverse Mentorship linked to ethnicity.
Hosted the “Meet our Executive Sponsor” event - allowing the Mosaic Membership to ask questions on race and ethnicity related questions directly to Paul Mead – Mosaic’s Executive Sponsor and MBDA’s Group Business Development Director, - who was supported by Aileen Randhawa - Human Resources Director Talent + MBDA UK.
Hosted “Tea Time Talks” – giving an opportunity for all MBDA UK colleagues to discuss the importance of Ethnic Diversity in the Workplace and shining a light on the Diversity Stats in the UK business.
