Mental Wellbeing Supporters Network at the Food Standards Agency
The Mental Wellbeing Supporters are points of contact across our organisation for anyone experiencing mental health or emotional distress. There are over 40 trained Mental First Aiders who can offer support and immediate help to anyone who needs it.
They aren’t therapists or counsellors, but can give confidential support to staff in times of crisis. Their help will focus on stabilising the person in distress to reduce the immediate danger and then they can be helped with their recovery by the most appropriate people.
If you’re not comfortable with contacting a Mental Wellbeing Supporter within your department, you can contact any member of the network and they will guide you towards the appropriate support.
