HMRC wish to thank everyone within the organisation who organised and supported local events for this year’s national Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW).
Although 2019’s MHAW has ended, it’s important everyone keeps talking about mental health – and HMRC employees can keep the conversation going throughout the year.
HMRC employees can join the Mental Health Network (MHN). A colleague-led group with the aim of reducing stigma around mental health, MHN is open to everyone: whether you have personal mental ill health; experience through a family member, friend or colleague, or would just like to learn more or help to raise awareness.
During MHAW, many colleagues supported a range of local and regional events across HMRC, including: wellbeing walks; drop-in tea and talk sessions with Mental Health Advocates; market stalls filled with practical resources, as well as hosting workshops and insightful and informative talks from both colleagues and external speakers.
