Mental Health and Wellbeing Network at DCMS

Health and wellbeing of our staff is really important at DCMS so we provide a number of benefits to make sure you have someone to talk to when times get tough or options to make your working life a little easier.

Reasonable Adjustments

At DCMS, we are committed to making our workplaces accessible and will assist any employee with their disability, long-term health conditions and will make reasonable adjustments.

Some examples include making physical changes to the workplace, e.g. rearrange desks so a wheelchair user can get around the office more easily or modify or provide equipment such as voice recognition software, specialist chairs or desk aids.

Employee Assistance Programme

The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a free and confidential service for staff. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year providing practical information, resources and counselling to help you with a range of work, family and personal issues.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Network

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Network at DCMS advocates on behalf of colleagues with mental health conditions to make sure that they and their managers get the support they need to manage their conditions effectively, and that DCMS policies and practice, e.g. on performance management, sickness absence, don’t discriminate against those with a mental health condition.
