Mental and Physical Wellbeing Support at Northumbrian water

The health, safety and wellbeing of our people is of number one importance to us and we offer a range of health and wellbeing initiatives to keep our people safe and well.  All of our people are invited to attend a personal resilience workshop and receive a resilience toolkit to support their wellbeing.  We have over 30 Mental Health First Aiders who help support and signpost our employees as well as over 40 Wellbeing Champions who support our annual calendar of wellbeing and inclusion activity and events such as Mental Health Awareness Week and Inclusion Week. At many of our main sites we offer regular Pilates, Mindfulness and massages either for free or at a reduced cost.  We offer a free confidential Employee Assistance Programme and access to Physiotherapy advice and treatment for musculo-skeletal injuries.   We encourage our people to take advantage of our benefits to help support their wellbeing such as buying annual leave and discounted gym membership.
