We welcome anyone who wants to uphold the rights of LGBT+ people. At the CQC, discrimination of any kind is not tolerated, and our Network is here for LGBT+ people to get support and feel safe. We have elected Bi and Trans-reps to be a point of contact for staff who are looking for support or have questions.
Our Network is open to non-LGBT+ allies, and they understand and support the lives of LGBT+ people. We recognise a barrier for LGBT+ people in the workplace is discrimination and not feeling comfortable to be out and open about their lives. That’s why as an organisation and Network we encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work, free of discrimination.
As a network we run events for LGBT+ History Month, Pride, and International Pronoun Day (to name a few); as well as provide support and LGBT+ awareness raising sessions to individual teams/inspectors.
We contribute to the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index to make sure the CQC continues and improves being a great place for LGBT+ people to work at.
