LGBT+ Network at BEIS
The mission of the LGBT+ Network is to make the department an excellent environment for LGBT+ staff through network activities and by providing challenge and input to BEIS on how to be inclusive.
The Network is for:
- lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex staff, as well as
- Staff who identify as being part of the pride rainbow in any other way (such as gender non-binary or pan-sexual)
- Heterosexual and cisgendered staff who are allies of the above.
It has four work priority areas:
- Building the LGBT+ community within BEIS and create an inclusive network for people from all parts of the pride rainbow.
- Increasing understanding and inclusion of LGBT+ in BEIS.
- Providing challenge and input on how BEIS can be inclusive.
- Providing welfare support on LGBT+ issues.
