We're proud to have made the FCA a place where all our employees can bring their whole selves to work. InsideOut, our energetic LGBT+ staff network group, is visible from the first day new colleagues join the organisation. We welcome everyone and we run a wide variety of inclusive events and learning opportunities for people to join in, if they want to. Our allies across the organisation, from the most senior levels down, join in. Working together, we help to make sure the LGBT+ community at the FCA is fully supported in the workplace.
Key recent events and successes include:
Active participation in Edinburgh Pride on 22 June 2019, London Pride on 6 July 2019 and UK Black Pride on 7 July 2019 (see pictures – including what we did to the FCA’s Reception at our building in Stratford)
A series of internal intersectional events, where we joined up with other staff network groups to explore the issues we share
Being back in the top 100 (69th) when Stonewall released its annual Workplace Equality Index in January 2019
Changes to the FCA’s Employee Handbook to make the language gender-neutral and explicitly include wording to address biphobic and transphobic behaviour
Celebration of LGBT History Month in February 2019 at a variety of staff events and educational presentations.
