Learning and Development at RS Components

We offer a range of tools, resources and programmes to support our people and help them learn, develop and grow in their careers.

Personal development training is offered via a contemporary learning model using digital, classroom (virtual and in-person) and fully blended learning journeys. We also provide training for all levels, from induction/path to competence and developmental, to help you achieve your career aspirations.

In addition to our in-house training, we have an active apprenticeship programme that offers flexible and structured training, which aligns with business needs. Our Apprenticeships are an exciting option where you experience hands-on training and the chance to put your skills into practice.

Using our wealth of online resources, our people are responsible for owning their learning and development approaches. 

Management development is available to all people leaders through Management Matters, our little and often virtual approach, enabling all people leaders to be the best they can be for their people.

For those with at least one years’ service who want to push themselves further, there is the opportunity annually to apply to join our cohort of “Future Shapers” - a global community of future leaders, with a maximum of 12 per year.

In their first year as “Future Shapers”, they will experience award-winning leadership development with an external provider, mentoring from internal leaders, and a focus on their personal development plan. This then prepares them to get involved in broader business activities and projects that they are passionate about to shape the future of our business.
