Home & Flexible Working at Domestic & General

D&G - A new way of working

Domestic & General will be moving to a hybrid way of working once we start to go back into our offices. Hybrid working will advance our culture, make us more delivery focused and make Domestic & General an even better place to work. Since we have been working from home, our business performance has been remarkable - employee engagement has improved, and we are seeing exceptional performance across our contact centres. We will harness the benefits of flexible working so that as we move to a hybrid way of working, we continue to drive these positive results and shape the future of D&G.

Along with the obvious personal flexibility, there are benefits of a hybrid model that take the best of both remote and office working. We’ve proven that we can be productive at home, but we know that some elements of work are better in person, such as collaborative projects, certain team meetings or important conversations. We will maintain the benefits of working from home but also bring in the benefits of office working, as our employees have told us they want.

Part of our transformation is a total review of our real estate. We are making a huge investment in modern, and technology enabled offices, starting with Wimbledon, our Head Office, this year.

Across our offices, we are creating a working environment with spaces to suit all of our needs – from collaboration space, to meeting rooms which cater for all types of event to effective desk areas – all of our needs have been captured by the award-winning design teams we have appointed.

We are also moving to a different Nottingham office, we are very committed to Nottingham and are reinforcing our commitment to the city through the development of a brand new, state of the art Operations Hub next year. This is an enormous investment. A brand-new office we can be proud of in a highly desirable area of Nottingham will offer more flexibility for our contact centre teams and position D&G as an employer of choice in the city. Station Street is right in the heart of the city and will be a fabulous location for our people and our business.
