Health and Wellbeing at UK Athletics
We recently teamed up with ‘working health’ who are an organisation of health coaches who provided MOT checks to all staff before the world champs. These checks included things such as blood pressure and BMP, and staff were also provided with a referral to their GP if needed, and healthy living advice tailored to their needs.
For the six weeks following this, we arranged for the company to provide a support resource website which contained information on a number of wellbeing topics, each with a series of fact sheets, a personal training plan and a video and podcast.
There were also weekly healthy living reminders and information emailed out to all staff over the champs.
Employee Support Line - UNUM
A free confidential support line is available for all our staff and their family’s 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
The support line can be contacted on a variety of issues such as financial matters, marital and relationship difficulties, stress, bereavement, medical advice and legal advice, and is totally confidential.
Counselling can also be arranged for employees who require this service and there is a special members area where you can find information sheets and tips to help support our employees in all areas of life.
