Giving Back at Atos

Contributing to the local community – A responsible Employer

Sponsorship: We encourage and support the commitment of both individuals and teams of employees in their personal charitable initiatives.

Atos has a multi-layered community relations programme active within the UK and our employees are encouraged to engage at any level they wish.

At a national level our corporate partner is The Prince’s Trust. As part of our Armed Forces Covenant Agreement we support the British Legion.

At a local level, there are charities chosen, for example, in 2016 Scotland is supporting The Oaks, Macmillan, Maggie’s and the Sick Kids Friends Foundation. Also, some of our accounts support a charity chosen by their employees. Local employees fundraise for these events and the company match fund their efforts up to a limit.

At a personal level, employees can fundraise for a charity of their choice whether that is running a 10k race or doing a sponsored walk. The company will match fund their efforts up to a limit.

Donations: We provide a payroll giving facility to allow employees to make tax-efficient donations to charities of their choice.

Volunteering Programme: We provide an opportunity for employees to spend time working with charities & charitable causes with the support of the company. Employees can spend up to a half a day per person per month of company time undertaking their permitted volunteering activity.

Prince’s Trust: We run the Million Makers programme each year where 10 to 12 graduates & employees on the talent programme have 6 months from July to December to convert a seedling fund of £1,500 into £11,500 creating £10k profit. In 2015 Atos raised an amazing £210,111 and won the national award for the most raised in this competition. We also participate in the Palace to Palace bike ride and in 2016 will have 50 employees taking part.
