International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD)
We firmly believe that each person has unique skills, talent and strengths to contribute, and there should be no barrier to sharing talent due to a disability – whether hidden or visible.
Invisible disabilities aren’t immediately apparent to others. They include developmental disabilities like autism and ADHD, visual or auditory impairment, and more. Because these disabilities can fly under the radar, a segment of the workforce lacks on-the-job support or, even worse, they can’t get their foot in the door because the hiring process just isn’t designed for them.
Companies are starting to understand how to retain different types of employees by highlighting their strengths, and supporting weaknesses, while also breaking down employment barriers. This episode will explore how to attract and retain job seekers with invisible disabilities, and underscore the value they bring to organizations.
Share your experience, tips and advice with other job seekers on how they can land their dream job. The best contributions will get published!
