We are a Disability Confident employer, which shows we are committed to attracting, recruiting and retaining staff with disabilities. We have created a training programme for staff to raise awareness about disability in the workplace, and have developed accessibility guidelines for printed resources, online content and live events.
As an organisation, we have set up a dedicated group to help us make sure Sightsavers is an employer of choice for people with disabilities and other conditions. The Social Inclusion Group meets regularly to monitor our inclusion work, provide support, promote diversity across the company and identify anything we need to improve. The group also brings in external trainers and organises speaker sessions with visiting experts on inclusion and disability.
