Disability and Wellbeing at Ofcom

At Ofcom we recognise the importance of mental wellbeing. We understand that stress, anxiety and depression are some of the common mental health issues which we can all face from time to time.

We have an Employee Assistance Programme, which offers colleagues a fully confidential help, information and advice service. Colleagues can access help by phone, online or face to face. There is also a wellbeing app that colleagues can download.

Ofcom is committed to supporting the Time to Change Pledge. Signing this pledge demonstrates our commitment to tackling mental health stigma and discrimination.

Our Disability and Wellbeing Group aims to raise awareness of issues faced by disabled colleagues, improve their experience of working for Ofcom, and promote the mental wellbeing of all colleagues. As well as informing Ofcom’s procedures and helping to ensure we consider the needs of disabled colleagues, the group holds events to raise awareness and provide support to disabled colleagues.

We also have a workplace adjustments policy, open to all colleagues, to help reduce any access barriers to employment.

We are members of the Business Disability Forum, and we also offer resilience training to colleagues.
