CSR at UKTV

Our Give.Help.Share mission is to ensure that corporate responsibility is at the heart of UKTV. Everyone at UKTV is encouraged to take part: from contributing to improving our environmental impact, to helping the local community and raising funds and awareness for causes we care about.

Environmentally, our policy spans a comprehensive recycling remit through to encouraging our staff to participate in a Cycle to Work scheme. Our new home since summer 2014 in Hammersmith is a BREAAM Excellent Accredited green building.

Our commissioning team embrace our green strategy by seeking to minimise the carbon footprint of our new productions, and we are members of the Albert Consortium initiative that underpins this.

To help our local community, we regularly help out at the local Masbro Community Centre events. Also in partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham Council, our volunteers mentor students at local colleges, and read with school children from our local area in West London.

Last year we held two Local Learning at Work Days, where we invited students from the borough to come and spend the day with us at UKTV. The students participated in brainstorming ideas for original content, attended master classes in pitching and marketing content and spent time working closely with departments across the company.
