BSUH Charity

BSUH Charity

The Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust is proud of the support we receive from our Official Charity – The Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Charity (BSUH Charity). The BSUH Charity exists so that patients, families, visitors and members of the community can support the Trust to go over and above basic NHS provisions. Our vision is to make it better for patients.

There are many different ways we encourage staff to support BSUH Charity initiatives, some of which include:

  • Attend BSUH Charity Events – These are listed on the charity’s webpage an on the Trust intranet
  • Become a Charity Angel – Eyes and ears for BSUH Charity within the Trust
  • Payroll Giving – Set up a regular donation to the charity from your pre-taxed income. Available directly from the payroll team
  • Sign up for Golden Pennies for Patients – Offered through payroll, this is a scheme that allows BSUH NHS Trust staff to donate the pennies from their payslip to improving care for patients as a donation to BSUH Charity.
  • Fundraise - Have some fun and run a team build combined with a fund raiser to raise money for some stuff you need for your ward / dept.
  • Talk about the BSUH Charity  – Tell grateful patients and families they can support care at BSUH by donating, fundraising, or volunteering for BSUH Charity
  • Become a Charity Ambassador – Help link the BSUH Charity to local community groups, businesses, and organisations

Stories and images of the charity community can be found on their facebook page: www.facebook.com/bsuhcharity or Twitter: @BSUHCharity. For more information about the BSUH Charity, visit their website: www.bsuh.nhs.uk/charity or contact their team at Charity@bsuh.nhs.uk or 01273 664708.
