Boots’ Partnership with The Prince’s Trust

Boots and The Prince’s Trust have formed a unique partnership to give even more young people the opportunity to unlock their potential. Together we are empowering the next generation by providing opportunities that give them the skills, confidence and self-esteem to enjoy healthier and happier lives, regardless of background.

Boots has a rich history of supporting young people in our communities, enabling young people access to work through a variety of programmes such as work experience, apprenticeships and graduate schemes, as well as supporting young people in Nottingham and across the UK through our charity partnerships with WE and BBC Children in Need.

At the launch of the 2018 Walgreens Boots Alliance CSR Report in February 2019, held at our Nottingham Support Office, we announced our exciting new partnership with The Prince’s Trust. Nick Stace, UK Chief Executive of The Prince’s Trust, joined us for the launch:

To coincide with Boots 170th anniversary year we will begin our work together by giving 170 young people meaningful job opportunities within the business and the chance to develop the confidence and skills they need to change their lives for the better.”

The Prince’s Trust gives young people the support needed to stabilise their lives, helping to develop the confidence and core skills needed to thrive in education and work, whilst also providing a strong network to connect with young people who need help the most. This combined with Boots legacy of improving the health and wellbeing of local communities in the UK for 170 years and heritage of supporting young people throughout their career offer our unique partnership the opportunity to offer young people their first step into their career and to empower the next generation to realise their full potential.

Together with The Prince’s Trust, we will find ways to remove the barriers to recruitment, create innovative opportunities to see the person beyond the application form and inspire the next generation. Together, we aspire to offer every young person that vital opportunity to unlock their potential, regardless of background.
