Accenture Allies Programmes

An Ally is someone who takes action to promote an inclusive and accepting culture regardless of their own identity and demonstrates a commitment to an inclusive workplace. We currently have Allies programmes for Mental Health, LGBTQ+ and People with Disabilities.

MENTAL HEALTH ALLIES

UK Mental Health Allies are a trained group of ambassadors, advocates and trusted “go-to” resources for people seeking support or information for themselves or a colleague on mental health.

Statistically, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health condition at some point this year, therefore it is important that we challenge the long-standing misunderstanding of mental health, in a highly pressurised culture - where the competitive environment may result in people feeling unable to show vulnerability. Mental Health Allies can help normalise and de-stigmatise conversations around mental health, and promote a culture of openness where employees can be their whole selves in the workplace.

LGBTQ+ ALLIES

An LGBTQ+ Ally is an individual who takes action to promote lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender inclusion regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity and expression. We have over 13,000 LGBTQ+ Allies in the global initiative and this number grows every day.

Employees who sign up as allies personally support and advocate for equal rights and fair treatment for LGBTQ+ people in the workplace and our allies understand the importance of equality, fairness, acceptance and mutual respect.

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES CHAMPIONS

Accent on Enablement is a network and forum open to all UKI employees that want to contribute to creating improved disability confidence at Accenture.

We strive to ensure an inclusive, accessible, barrier-free work environment that supports Accenture persons with disabilities, as well as those who may need special consideration to care for a loved one with a disability. We firmly believe that each person has unique skills, talent and strengths to contribute, and there should be no barrier to sharing talent due to a disability – whether hidden or visible.

We are committed to raising awareness and educating our Accenture people and relevant stakeholders about persons with disabilities, while simultaneously supporting our persons with disabilities employees worldwide through our Allies programme.
