VERCIDA celebrates excellence in recruiting disabled talent with ministerial reception 

Equality and diversity experts, VERCIDA and VERCIDA Consulting, are partnering with disability campaigners from the Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI), and Sarah Newton MP, Minister for Disabled People, for an event to showcase best practice in recruiting disabled talent.

The partnership event will be a reception held at The Terrace Restaurant, House of Commons on Tuesday 06 November at 4.00 pm. This will include discussion of best practice and how to apply it, as well as celebrating the impressive achievements of the 2018 RIDI Awards winners.

Confirmed speakers are:

• Sarah Newton MP, Minister for Disabled People
• Sir Philip Rutnam, Permanent Secretary, Home Office and Civil Service Disability Champion
• Dan Robertson, Director of Vercida Consulting
• Kate Headley, Chair of RIDI

About RIDI

The Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI) has one purpose: to break down the barriers faced by the millions of disabled people who are entering or progressing through the job market. RIDI has an executive committee of eight people from within the recruitment industry who steer our strategy and programme. Chaired by Kate Headley, Director of Consulting, The Clear Company, the executive committee develops and delivers RIDI’s strategy and organises our campaigning and programme of events. We are all volunteers who give our time to RIDI and we are a wholly non-profit initiative.
