HarperCollins and Business in the Community’s race campaign are pleased to host the first Peer Learning Forum bringing together key players in the media sector to improve performance around race equality in the workplace and the representation of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people in the media.
We are keen to connect diversity practitioners and interested contacts within the media industry (advertising and marketing, publishing, print and broadcasting – TV and radio) to collaborate for collective success on inclusion. At the forum, we will be setting the scene and exploring opportunities for tackling issues affecting race equality in the workplace while discussing how we can better drive representation in the media. We will hear from keynote speaker Joseph Harker, deputy opinion editor of The Guardian, editing The Guardian's Black History Month poster series in 2008. Joseph is a former editor and publisher of the weekly newspaper, The Voice.
Who Should Attend?
This event is open to members of Business in the Community’s gender and race equality campaigns with some places available to relevant non-members. It is of relevance to diversity and inclusion professionals.
