This cutting edge programme on managing sexual harassment in the workplace differs from standard approaches as it shifts the focus of the debate away from asking questions such as ‘why don’t women – and men – just speak up?’ For us, such questions keep the focus of responsibility on the victims of sexual harassment and do little to address the fundamental issues of power and abuse. Instead we ask, ‘what is it about the culture within which individuals live and work that send subtle signs that sexual harassment is ok?
The Workshop is framed around 5 central themes:
Defining and exploring sexual harassment
Exploring the mind-set of sexual perpetrators
The psychological impact of sexual harassment on people
How cultures collude
Dealing with sexual harassment
There is an Action Learning set where we ask you to bring along, or come prepared to discuss a case study or example of the topic.
