The Ethnicity & Race initiative officially launched on Friday 30 June with a number of CEOs and senior leaders pledging their support for our senior leadership campaign. The inaugural workplace conference takes place on Friday 13 October 2017 following over 12 months of roundtables and working groups with over 50 organisations deep diving into this issue. We were very much spurred on by the various reports that have been released, but as experts in the diversity & inclusion fields for over 10 years we understand that these reports are only a part of the bigger need for change. We are proud to be doing our part to take this information and combining this data with our research and the expertise of our inspirational speakers to start the conversation and build momentum.
We will be hosting the inaugural Investing in Ethnicity & Race (IER) conference, is open to both public and private sector professionals. The conference is CPD accredited and will be held on 13 October 2017 to bring together leading BAME professionals, HR representatives, network chairs, talent leads and diversity specialists.
• The conference is aimed at those who are appointed as ambassadors to take lessons learnt back into their workplaces as well as those with a real drive to make change.
• The one day event will include inspirational speakers, break out sessions, workshops and best practice discussions. There will also be an opportunity to network at the end of the day.
• Leadership sessions will be repeated in the morning and afternoon - we recommend that members of senior leadership attends one of these sessions.
• The conference will provide a platform for thought-leaders to share best-practice, reports and start the conversation.
