Charity is an important force in our society. The International Day of Charity is an opportunity to bring people together and talk about the value of charity, and the difference it makes.
It’s held on 5 September, Mother Teresa of Calcutta’s birthday. Events and activities are held all over the world to get people, NGOs, and stakeholders all around the world to volunteer. It’s about getting people involved in philanthropic activities.
Charity helps us communicate across a society. It fosters human connections. And we think there’ is also huge value for employers that can add charity work to their offer.
Attitudes in the UK workforce are shifting. There’s a new sense in the emerging workforce. People want to work in a way that makes a contribution to society. Employers that respond to that need will be successful in getting the staff they want. Corporate volunteering programmes have become very successful.
