Heathrow, Omniserv, disability charities, mobility companies, and a number of airlines are teaming up to host an open day to provide information for passengers using wheelchairs or requiring special assistance. The airport is calling for more people who want to attend the day to sign-up now.
On 23 September 2017, organisations that work with the airport’s Special Assistance team will hold exhibition sessions to showcase their services, and talk to guests one on one.
The Open Day has been organised to help passengers understand how the Special Assistance service at Heathrow works so that whether they are flying for the first time or not, they have the confidence and information they need to travel.
We are also looking to host a select number of airside tours for people (who require special assistance or use a wheelchair) who attend on the day to show them first-hand the experience travelling through Heathrow. Please note, signing-up to the event prior to the day is essential to take part in any airside tours that may be held.
Exhibitors will on site at Heathrow Academy (Newall Road, Hayes, Middlesex, TW6 2RW) between 10am and 5pm.
