The Herman Miller Inclusiveness Resource Group ‘Change’ is hosting a breakfast meeting with Robert Baker, Leader of Diversity & Inclusion Consulting for Europe and the Pacific Region at Mercer, the leading global human resources consulting firm.

Diversity and Inclusiveness in the workplace is getting increasing focus by many businesses. They increasingly realise that to be competitive in the future business world, they will need to attract and retain a diverse talent pool and create an inclusive working environment for this talent to thrive.

Furthermore, studies by leading research group McKinsey and Company show that the most gender-diverse businesses are 15% more likely to enjoy above above-average profitability than companies with a more homogenous make-up. However gender diversity is not just good for business and for women - it’s good for men as well!

He has spoken at numerous conferences and has contributed to many publications and blogs on the importance of balanced leadership. Robert also speaks widely on talent trends, innovation and the future of work, including the importance of engaging millennials in the workplace and getting the best from the multi-generational workforce.

Robert has a passion for diversity and inclusion and is a member of the steering committees for Mercer’s Gender Parity Networks for the European Region. He is also Co-President of PWN Global, a major global women’s network. In this role he shares the leadership of the Global Board and works with global partners and local PWN City Networks to help drive gender balance.
