Time 10:00 - 12:45 (Includes Lunch)
Location: Lewis Silkin LLP5 Chancery Lane, Clifford's Inn, London EC4A 1BL
Gender Pay Reporting is the biggest employment issue since the removal of the Default Retirement Age and it has taken 45 YEARS to get the Government to take the action needed to make it happen! enei is delighted to offer Members this exceptional opportunity to hear from the Government Equalities Office (GEO) and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) about their plans to introduce mandatory gender pay reporting, support for employers and the equal pay project. It will also give you the opportunity, through a business focused lens, to influence the regulations which will follow the consultation. You will also hear from an enei Member who has published pay data and learn about how they carried out their audit and analysed the data.
The Government announced it would enact legislation to require most companies with over 250 employees to publish information showing whether they have a pay gap between males and females, the GEO has published a consultation document asking employers for their views on implementation.
This is a Member-only event and is an important opportunity for employers to understand the Government’s thinking on pay gap reporting and for Members to give their views directly to the department responsible for drafting the legislation prior to completing the consultation document. The debate will also inform enei’s strategy on this issue.
