We are delighted to announce that the 1st BME Voices Talk Mental Health Conference will take place on Saturday 20th October 2018 at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Islington, London.

The theme for the conference is ‘Identity and Belonging: It’s not so Black and White’ and BME Voices Talk Mental Health has carefully selected a great line up of speakers who will be presenting on a variety of interesting and diverse topics in relation to the theme.

The event is open to ALL counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists and other mental health practioners, including students and trainees

Keynote speaker:

  • Patrick Vernon OBE, Social Commentator and Windrush Campaigner

Speakers :

  • Myira Khan, Founder of the Muslim Counsellor and Psychotherapist Network (MCAPN)
  • Dr Erica Mapule McInnis, Chartered Clinical Psychologist
  • Dr Dwight Turner,Senior Lecturer, University of Brighton, Psychotherapist and Supervisor, Private Practice
  • Dr Yetunde Ade-Serrano, BPS Chartered and HCPC Registered Practitioner Counselling Psychologist
  • Faisal Mahmood , Senior Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Newman University, Birmingham

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Tube:
The closest Underground station is Angel, which is on the Northern Line. The hotel is a five-minute walk away from the station.

Car:
For satellite navigations systems please use postcode N1 9LA.

Nearest Car Parks:

Business Design Centre, 52 Upper St, London N1 0PW OPEN 24hrs and only 6 minutes from the hotel by foot/ 0.4 miles

Angel Central Car Park, 21 Parkfield St, London, N1 0PS OPEN 10am-7pm daily and 3 minutes’ walk by foot/ 0.3 miles

Please either bring the printed ticket or have the ticket available on the app

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

No, tickets are not transferrable

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

All names on tickets needs to match the person attending
