The BBC is at the heart of technology: we use the latest innovation to deliver outstanding digital products like BBC iPlayer used by millions every day. Come and visit our cutting-edge MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, offices and take a behind the scenes look at the design and technological work which is shaping the future of the BBC. If this sounds interesting and you would like to learn more about working in one of our tech teams, then you should come to BBC TechWomen: Innovation, Networking and Careers on 3 April 2017.
BBC Design and Engineering is our group responsible for designing, developing and running the BBC’s online services including BBC iPlayer, Red Button, websites, apps and games. We have development teams based in Salford and are currently recruiting for a wide range of roles.
To help us grow our technology workforce, and due to the success of similar events in London with some attendees now working at the BBC, we are hosting an event in Salford aimed particularly at technology focussed women in the North West.
The afternoon will provide an introduction to BBC Design and Engineering, with keynote talks, team demos and networking with drinks and nibbles. You will also hear about what it’s like to work for the BBC and how we support flexibility and mobility for all staff.
