The Director General Economy family focuses on delivering Scotland’s National Strategy for Economic
Transformation (NSET) to realise a Wellbeing Economy. NSET includes a series of programmes on
supporting entrepreneurs, opening new markets, closing the productivity gap, encouraging lifelong skills
development and promoting fair work. Over the past year, the family has changed its structure and
realigned its budgets in line with this strategy and is now looking to strengthen the senior leadership
team that will ensure cost effective and timely delivery of its benefits.
