Community engagement

PwC Foundation - We established The PwC Foundation in October 2011 to drive our charitable activities. The objective of the Foundation is to promote social inclusion and sustainable development in the UK.

Social enterprise - Social enterprise has been a key part of our purpose for many years and is one of the ways that we help to empower communities and tackle social mobility.

One Firm One Day  - One Firm One Day (OFOD), is our annual firmwide fundraising and volunteering event. Staff across the UK are encouraged to join together and take part in giving something back to our local communities. This year we did things a little differently due to lockdown, and transformed this initiative into ‘One Firm Every Day,’ allowing people to continue to volunteer and fundraise when best suited them, and within government guidelines.

Social mobility - As a major employer, we believe we can play a positive role in increasing social mobility through our recruitment, development and progression, and community and advocacy activities.

Community engagement and volunteering - our people can use up to 2 working days a year to volunteer during working hours, and an additional four days are available when volunteering is with our firmwide supported programmes.
