Equality and Human Rights Commission

The Equality and Human Rights Commission are Great Britain’s national equality body.  Britain has a strong reputation as a global leader in equality and human rights and we are committed to ensuring this continues.  As a statutory non-departmental public body, we are a national regulator of equality law and operate independently, recognised as an authority on equality and human rights law, evidence and analysis.

Our job is to help make Britain a fairer and more inclusive country where no one is held back by discrimination or barriers to personal advancement.  We do this by safeguarding and enforcing the laws that protect people’s rights to fairness, dignity and respect.
