About us

Currys is a brand with a familiar name and a new look and feel. From streamlining our operation to enhancing our digital offering with ShopLive 24/7 video shopping, we’re a brand that’s transforming, building out our offering, looking ahead and adapting to the needs and demands of customers.

Through progress and innovation, we have integrated stores, online and mobile to create a seamless customer experience – making us a true omnichannel business, generating over £3.4bn sales online in 2020. Behind the scenes, there’s a vast operation spanning the UK and Ireland, Hong Kong, Greece and the Nordics. In addition to international stores and facilities, there are 19 distribution hubs around the country, plus five contact centres, a London office in Acton and over 300 stores in the UK and ROI. And it all started in 1884 with the creation of the original Currys brand. Since then, we’ve merged with PC World, Carphone Warehouse, Team Knowhow and Dixons Carphone to become the business we are today: forward-focused and proud to help customers find and enjoy the technology they want.

We invest in partnerships with organisations including everywoman, Be Inspired, Stonewall, Business in the Community and the Business Disability Forum. Inclusion and diversity are also championed, shaped and driven by our Leadership Inclusion Forum, which meets regularly to discuss ways to take action and drive positive change.

Wellbeing

We’re here for you, on every level. Because we’re only at our best when you are too. As well as eyecare vouchers and access to on-site gyms, there are tons of opportunities to stay fit and healthy, no matter what your interest or ability. This includes charity bike rides, walking challenges and online fitness classes.

We’ve made huge investments in Mental Health First Aid training, skilling up 450 colleagues to become Mental Health First Aiders. And our Wellbeing Corner is full of resources and tips to stay well. The Aviva Wellbeing app is available to all Currys colleagues too, as is a 24-hour confidential helpline through our Employee Assistance programme. And because we can all use a little help to manage our money, we also offer a variety of ways to help you save – from our Cycle to Work scheme, to healthcare discounts, and childcare vouchers.

Another way we’re promoting wellbeing is through our new Hybrid working practices. They are designed to help teams and individuals to perform at their best across the virtual and physical worlds. As different business areas operate in different ways, it is not a one-size-fits-all approach – we flex the model to ensure everyone feels engaged and empowered to give their all.
