Welcome to VERCIDA website.
Skip to main contentThe ABI is the voice of the UK’s world leading insurance and long-term savings industry. A productive, inclusive and thriving sector, we are an industry that provides peace of mind to households and businesses across the UK and powers the growth of local and regional economies by enabling trade, risk taking, investment and innovation.
We develop policy solutions for challenges facing society where our industry has a role to play – think how to insure automated cars and giving the public more transparency around their pensions, to name just a few. As a forward-thinking organisation, we work with government, regulators and policymakers, both in the UK and internationally, to ensure the insurance and long term savings industry meets the needs of the public to the highest standard.

Our People
When meeting us, you’ll quickly find out we are united in our belief that the best thing about the ABI is the people.
In our most recent staff survey, the words used most frequently were: friendly and professional – with collaborative, positive and inclusive not far behind
The ABI values are at the heart of everything we do:
Our industry is changing. The insurance industry is leading the way on diversity and inclusion in the Financial Service sector.
At the ABI, we see it as vital that we are a role model for our members. We’re an active voice in our sector and have signed up to various initiatives including the Women in Finance Charter and partnering with OUTstanding who support LGBT+ inclusion in business.
In 2017, we also launched a Talent and Diversity network where we meet with our members to share ideas around how we can best support diversity and inclusion in our industry.
In 2018, we launched an internal inclusion strategy which outlines our vision for inclusion at the ABI, and a two-year plan to help us achieve this.
We all want the ABI to continue to be a workplace that attracts, nurtures and retains a diverse range of talent, and where staff feel able to be open about all aspects of their life with their colleagues without fear of judgment or prejudice.
List of all the benefits that Association of British Insurers are offering their employees. Benefits may vary depending on role, location and length of service.
The ABI has a really good sense of work-life balance, we work very hard, but also know how to have fun. Everyone has a key role to play in the functioning of the ABI, so you are respected and valued.

I’ve had the chance to expand my experience in putting forward strong arguments on complex & technical issues. I’ve also done lots of public speaking & interviews, neither of which I had the opportunity to do before.
