Excellence in Diversity Awards

The Excellence in Diversity Awards annually celebrate the commendable work of inclusive employers and diversity Champions in the UK.

The Excellence in Diversity Awards are the only awards to honour the remarkable work of employers who take the lead in equality, inclusion, diversity and fairness in all aspects of their business. As well as focus on the efforts of leading diversity champions, significant role models and extraordinary employees, who display motivation, innovation and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

The awards cover all aspects of diversity including, age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race and religion, and highlight employers and individuals from a broad range of sectors, such as housing, public, private, charity and education.

The awards aim to commend the work of those who go above and beyond their social responsibility to mirror the increasing diversity of the UK in their workforce. EiDA believe that celebrating true diversity in its purest form should be an integral part of every company’s ethos, and the annual awards ceremony will highlight organisations that see workplace equality as more than just policies and practices, and is something that runs throughout the very heart of what they do.

There are eight categories in which an individual or company can win an award, these are:

• Diversity Champion Awards – to recognise the outstanding work of an individual
• Diverse Company Awards – to recognise the outstanding work of an employer
• Lifetime Achiever Award – to honour an individual who has devoted a major part of their lives to diversity and inclusion causes
• Outstanding Diversity Network Award – to identify the outstanding contribution of an employee network
• Best Diversity Resource Award – recognises an organisation that has shown outstanding dedication to supplying diversity related resources
• Employee of the Year Award – celebrates the excellent commitment of an employee to diversity and inclusion in their workplace
• Diversity Marketing Campaign of the Year Award – identifies an innovative marketing campaign that has challenged discrimination and reflected diversity through radio, TV and print campaigns
• Head of Diversity and Inclusion Award – highlights the excellent achievements of an organisation’s Head of Diversity

Top performing organisations that reflect a truly diverse workforce will be published following The Excellence in Diversity Awards, in a definitive list of the UK’s most inclusive workplaces.
