The ABI is made up of about 95 people and we’re based in a light, bright open-plan office in the heart of the City of London. We have one person in our small Edinburgh office too. We’re made up of five Directorates, including our Director General’s Office which includes our Legal team.

This Directorate is made up of Policy experts. Our Data and Analytics team who provide us and our members with vital stats and analysis arenhere too. There are three areas of Policy specialism; General Insurance (e.g. motor, home, travel and travel insurance), Long-Term Savings (e.g.
pensions) and Health and Protection.
Broadly speaking, this Directorate deal with issues relating to how insurers are regulated. It’s made up of five teams: Conduct, Prudential, Taxation, European & International Affairs and Brexit.
These are the experts in getting our messages out there in a succinct and impactful way. We have teams in Communications, Public Affairs, Events and Advocacy. The teams who keep our business running smoothly and safely are here too. We have a Directorate Support team who work with us on all aspects of business administration and Business Services, who provide Facilities support to us.
