At the UK Civil Aviation Authority, we put a strong focus on the wellbeing of our colleagues. Our employees are encouraged to consider their health and wellbeing at all times
As part of this ongoing journey for the organisation, two of our directors recently took part in the Chichester 10km race.
Ben Alcott, International Director, said:
“Lining up on the start line of a 10km race can seem daunting, but our commitment to health and wellbeing is a message that we promote through the Civil Aviation Authority’s Wellbeing Programme, and I was delighted to take part in this race alongside Richard. It’s important that we lead by example wherever we can, and that we give our colleagues the information and opportunities to do the right thing for themselves.”
Richard Stephenson, Communications Director, said:
“It’s not that long ago that I would break a sweat just climbing the stairs and there is no way I would have been able to complete this race. I’m glad we have such a proactive wellbeing programme and it’s great to be able to enter a challenge like this alongside such supportive colleagues. The support we’ve received from friends, family and colleagues has been tremendous - thank you to you all!
"Now, who will be the next colleague to sign up and join us at the next run?”
