It will be fantastic to not be held hostage to bias and be really 'seen'. Where can one start maybe, with recognising gender-based jokes and sexist remarks that exist in our everyday and stopping them.
This is our hope with the latest campaign, which highlights the outdated assumptions, beliefs and biases that hold women, and in fact all of us, back and turning them into more inclusive statements, mid-sentence. We are drawing a line on biased banter and making inclusion at Wates the norm.
These new gender-based microaggressions posters are being displayed in Wates
This International Women's Day, we'd like to give a shout out to Lily Zheng whose recent post, about the fastest way to make promises about culture change into reality is to stop talking about what you aspire to and start talking about what you will no longer tolerate, inspired us to be clear on the poster message: gender-based jokes, sexist remarks, behaviours that exclude will not be tolerated at Wates.
