Supported by NorthWalesLive and BusinessLive, the awards will recognise those going above and beyond to champion these extremely important issues.

We want to make sure your stories are heard - all you have to do is enter online.

Whether it's an initiative promoting gender equality, social mobility, race and ethnicity, disability, mental health and LGBTQ+ issues, or a campaign, business or podcast making a difference, make sure you're heard before the deadline on Monday, May 2, 2022.

The awards recognise, appreciate and admire the diversity in Wales and those making sure everyone is included. Thirteen awards will be handed out to the individuals, teams and initiatives bringing about positive social change. Keep reading to find out more about the specially curated categories and criteria.

To make sure all of the finalists get the celebration they deserve, the grand ceremony on June 22, 2022 will be held at Cardiff City Stadium.

Editor of WalesOnline and audience and content director for Wales for Reach plc, Steffan Rhys, said: "I'm very proud that WalesOnline can play just a small part in shining a light on the achievements of people working hard to make Wales a more diverse and inclusive place to live. People in Wales are rightly proud of its diversity but there is of course so much more to be done and so much more change needed."

Knowing how special the night will be, local companies Michael Page Recruitment and SO Coffee are already sponsoring the event to show their support.

For more information about the event, entering and sponsorship opportunities, visit the website.

Finding more ways to promote community spirit, WalesOnline is asking the general public and nominees to vote for which Welsh charity they believe should be supported at the 2022 awards. Keep an eye out for more details to be released.

Dr Julie Humphreys, group head of diversity and inclusion at Reach Plc, said: "I am honoured to be judging the inaugural WalesOnline Diversity and Inclusion Awards and excited to recognise and honour all the individuals, groups and initiatives working hard to deliver change across Wales. Change can often be met with resistance, that's why it's important that we stop and celebrate people's determination and courage to make the world a fairer place."

Be part of the change by entering before the deadline on Monday, May 2.
