TUI was celebrating its biggest involvement to date with the Maspalomas Pride 2022, as a proud sponsor of the 21st edition of the event, organisedby the Freedom Association and taking place in Gran Canaria, May 5th – 15th, 2022.
As the official tours and activities provider, TUI has developed excursions specifically for Maspalomas Pride 2022, including exclusive catamaran sunset sailings and 4x4 adventures. Furthermore, the TUI team was out to show off some LGBTQA+ pride, on hand to support (and enjoy) the festivities throughout the duration of the event at the TUI Pride Kiosk, and on the TUI float.
“This is a fantastic event and I speak on behalf of everyone at TUI when I say how proud we are to support Maspalomas Pride 2022,” said Linda Phelps, Head of Operations & Delivery Canaries, Cape Verde & West Africa at TUI Musement, the tours and activities division of TUI Group. “TUI has long been a vehement supporter of LGBTQA+ rights and a pioneer in ensuring an open and inclusive workplace, and holiday environment. This event is about celebrating these efforts…and also letting our hair down to have some fun!”
In addition to offering exclusive tours and activities, both online via the official event website and in destination at the TUI Kiosk, the TUI team at the event will also be developing a more in-depth understanding the LGBTQA+ audience in relation to tours and activities preferences. Tours and activities are a strategic growth pillar for TUI and the insights gained during Maspalomas 2022 will help shape future experience development, both for LGBTQA+ events, and for the wider TUI tours and activities portfolio, which already includes excursions developed specifically for Pride Maspalomas 2022.
