Nicola Buckley, People Director at TPE said: “We want to make sure that every colleague that menstruates has easy access to the products they require, and we are proud to be one of the first train operators to do this.
“This is another positive step in making TPE a fantastic place to work and increase and increase education around period health, to eliminate shame and stigma.”
Last year, a WaterAid survey revealed that menstrual taboos still dominate the lives of working women across the UK, with a staggering 85% saying they experience stress or anxiety when managing their periods at work.
Free period products were among the actions those surveyed felt employers should take to help them manage their periods.
