The definitive list showcases the best employers for LGBT staff. Here are some of our current members who have made the list: 

Lloyds Banking Group - 5th 

Lloyds Banking Group have made public commitments to increasing the engagement scores of their LGBT colleagues to 70% by 2020, in their Helping Britain Prosper Plan. This will be measured via their Colleague Survey.

Lloyds believe that if they are to become the best bank for customers then they must ensure that this vision is inclusive of the LGBT community. As an organisation they've made great strides forward, and are acknowledged as a leading edge employer when it comes to LGBT equality.

Norton Rose Fulbright - 19th 

Norton Rose Fulbright came in on the list at 19th place. Norton Rose Fulbright are committed to creating an inclusive environment for their LGBT professionals and employees with their inclusive policies and LGBT initiatives.

Norton Rose Fulbright have developed and implemented LGBTI inclusive policies and resources, including toolkits to help managers understand the challenges that an LGBTI team member may face and the support they can offer.

GSK - 21st 

GSK have been recognised by Stonewall for their commitment to their LGBT colleagues from celebrating LGBT history moth to promoting the LGBT Role Models programme to give individuals the opportunity to explore what it means to be a role model and the space to identify how they are going to create an inclusive environment for everyone.

PwC - 33rd 

Out Professional Employee Network (OPEN) at PwC is committed to supporting their employees through education, networking and community services. PwC have also been recognised by other LGBT awareness organisations and have taken part at many PRIDE events across the country in previous years.

Home Office - 38th

In response to the John Vine report on LGBT experiences in the asylum system, the Home Office implemented a series of changes to ensure quality of asylum interviews and reduce the number of LGBT customer complaints. Refresher courses were rolled out to all asylum decision-makers, a new asylum instruction on sexual orientation was issued and the asylum training and business teams were invited to input.

Eversheds Sutherland  - 75th (Joint)

Eversheds has been featured in the 2018 Stonewall Top 100 Employers Index for the 10th year running. The Stonewall Top 100 Employers 2018 represents the best places to work for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) staff in a competitive labour market.

Home group - 75th (Joint) 

Susan Fulton, Director of People at Home Group, said: “It’s fantastic that we’ve been named in Stonewall’s Index, and it’s testament to our approach on equality and diversity.

“We are huge supporters of wellbeing at work, and supporting LGBT colleagues is a part of that. Home Group’s culture is completely inclusive, and we’re delighted it’s been recognised again!”

Home Group has developed its approach over the last 18 months, through initiatives such as the Gender Reassignment and Transitioning Process.

As a keen supporter of colleague wellbeing, the North-East based company has a number of groups set up to support and promote the diversity of colleagues, through Partners in Pride, Allies Network and Human Library.

Department for Education - 78th

Department for Education have been recognised by Stonewall for their effort and commitment to the LGBT community. Department for education are doing some great work supporting the LGBT community and have pledged £2 million to raise awareness of LGBT bullying making Department for Education are a deserving organisation to be featured in Stonewalls top 100 LGBT inclusive employers.

Virgin Money 95th

As part of Virgin Money's Diversity & Inclusion agenda they have set up the Affinity Pride Network who have delivered an LGBT+ programme of activity for all staff. The work carried out has been vital in progressing our business into a fully inclusive workplace, educating, informing and supporting colleagues by delivering a suite of activity and support in the LGBT+ space.
