DCMS has had an active profile on VERCIDA since 2018, when the platform first launched. VERCIDA gives you, the jobseeker, all the information needed to make an informed decision about whether an employer is the right fit for you and your specific needs. You can search for jobs using filters that show the work employers are doing internally to promote diversity and inclusion, as well as searching for jobs using the traditional search fields such as location, geography and keyword.

To help VERCIDA find roles that are best suited to you, we ask you to confidentially share information about yourself with us.  Any data we receive is securely stored and never shared with third parties.

Every employer advertising a job on VERCIDA has their own company profile which highlights their values and inclusive features such as age, belief, gender equality, and LGBT initiatives. To find out the initiatives and benefits they offer that best suit you, disclosing your interests on VERCIDA is vital. You will then be suggested jobs and content that best suits you from potential employers.

DCMS proudly supports a range of active staff networks and inclusive features which Vercida can help match you to if you fully complete your profile information. For example, the department has an active LGBTQ+ network, which is here to support and connect staff who are in sexual or gender-identity minority, whether you are bi, asexual, trans, agender, unsure or otherwise. It’s also there for allies and anyone else who takes an interest in what goes on in the department in this capacity – anyone is welcome!

'We're here to ensure that LGBT+ colleagues feel safe and secure at work and to tackle challenges which they may face in the workplace. We also run socials and other events such as talks and monthly lunches, as well as a regular newsletter covering everything from upcoming events to the latest queer culture.'

In addition, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Network at DCMS a dvocates on behalf of colleagues with mental health conditions to make sure that they and their managers get the support they need to manage their conditions effectively, and that DCMS policies and practice, e.g. on performance management, sickness absence, don’t discriminate against those with a mental health condition.
