Thames Valley Police celebrate Oxford Pride 2017
On Saturday 3rd June 2017, Thames Valley Police took part in Oxford Pride, where their LGBT+ support group had a stall to promote the recruitment of the LGBT+ community within their police force. Thames Valley Police employees also took part in the parade, where the sunshine even came out.
Oxford Pride is a celebration of lesbian, gay, bi and trans life in Oxfordshire. The event promotes awareness of LGBT+ issues, by providing information, education and entertainment in a safe and encouraging environment. Thames Valley Police attended the event to show their support of the LGBT+ community, both within their workforce and within the wider communities that they operate within.

This membership is available to serving officers, staff and volunteers of Thames Valley Police; there are two types of membership, full and associate, both of which are free.
Thames Valley Police took part in the parade at the Oxford Pride event, where they proudly held a banner promoting their LGBT+ Network and spoke with members of the public that attended the event. The event was a great success for Thames Valley Police as they were able to engage with member of the public and promote their inclusive work environment for its LGBT+ employees.
