The role of Police Officer is like no other. It can be tough and unpredictable at times but it can also be extremely rewarding and no two days are ever the same. You will work towards making life safer and more secure for those living within your local community

As the largest non-metropolitan Police Force in the country, Thames Valley Police offers a unique mix of urban and rural policing which can’t be matched. Whether it’s fighting major crime, responding to road traffic accidents, or building relationships in the neighbourhood, you’ll be part of the team of outstanding individuals. There are demanding challenges and fantastic opportunities, both through specialization and promotion. You will be fully trained to protect the public, provide a reassuring presence in the community, support victims of crime and investigate complex offences using a mixture of cutting-edge technology and time-proven traditional methods.

We’re looking for effective leaders, decision makers and team players. We’re looking for people who want to inspire positive change in their communities. You should be enthusiastic, reliable, self-disciplined and confident enough to take control of situations in your journey to become a role model within your community; a listener, a helper.

If this sounds like you, what are you waiting for? Join Thames Valley Police and take the next step in your career.
