Teneo partnered with Future Frontiers!

Future Frontiers exists to ensure young people from disadvantaged backgrounds fulfil their potential at school and when transitioning to education, employment or training at age 16.

 

They do this by providing the guidance, networks and opportunities young people lack - through face-to-face coaching delivered by business professionals and access to sector role models.

This was Teneo's first year working with Future Frontiers. During this year's programme, Teneo employees each supported a young person 1:1 for a total of 6 hours of coaching. One student was lucky to have 2 coaches! During this period, coaches provided young people with an invaluable space to explore their interests, discover inspiring careers and plan for their next steps.

Future Frontiers was built on the belief that all young people have dreams and aspirations - but children from low-income families are much less likely to have access to the guidance, networks and opportunities that enable them to achieve these ambitions.

We know it doesn’t have to be this way. With the right guidance - at the right time – we can empower young people to achieve at school and make choices that will open doors to the careers of their choice.

We could not deliver such personalised support without volunteers. Thank you for taking the time to help your students find out what they could be great at and showing them the way to turning their ambitions into reality.

Please do not underestimate the difference volunteers like you make to the lives of our young people. You have opened their eyes to new opportunities and given them the insight, information, and self-belief they need to take the first steps towards making their goals a reality.”

 

The Head of Year 10 said:

“I was really impressed with how the programmes worked, how engaged the pupils were, and how the Teneo coaches were with the pupils. Wednesday had become their favourite day of the week! The students have been better at school since, and their attitudes have improved a lot. I definitely want to do it again next year.”
